TractorsAntiques and Collectables Festival
Join us in downtown Denton July 2nd thru July 6th for the Denton Antiques Festival. More than 50 vendors are expected to attend. Of course, there will be food, too!. Hours are 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Call 336-859-4231 for more information.

Christmas Parade and Celebration
The Denton Christmas Parade and Celebration is held the first Saturday in December, beginning at 10:00 a.m. The festivities include the Holiday Market, caroling in the park, carriage rides, & photos with Santa!  The parade starts at noon.  Call 336-859-4231 for more information.


Christmas Train
Visit the Denton Farm Park for a Christmas delight as they light up the train for the holidays! Take a 20-minute ride on the authentic steam train. Then stop off at the Gingerbread House  for a fresh cookie and some hot cocoa. Join others at the church for some Christmas carols, or view the arts & crafts exhibits. Ride the Handy Dandy Railroad and see the lights and Nativity movie along the way. Visit the church and sing carols. Explore the service station, Gingerbread House, General Store, Doll Museum and all the Arts & Crafts exhibits. Take the tram down to visit the Reid Plantation or ride the horse drawn wagon ride. Make sure to stop by Santa’s cabin for a visit. Food available and more!

Denton Farm Park
The privately-owned Denton Farm Park is home to some of the most exciting events in the Southeast. The park is, perhaps, best known for hosting the annual Southeast Old Threshers' Reunion. Denton Museum
The Denton Museum is the repository for historical Denton artifacts. Thanks to Barbara Hogan's tireless labor of love, the museum has grown to include more than a hundred items representing Denton's past. Click the above link for more information and photos.

Denton Street Festival 
Denton's Annual Street Festival is the 2nd Saturday in September, 9am-3pm, Rain or Shine.  Come out for food, crafts, games and entertainment. Along with our local talent stage, we are excited to announce that this year’s main stage entertainment will be the band, Red Line.  The Amazin Blazin Fire Truck will take children & adults on a ride through downtown on the top of a fire truck.  We are still working on finalizing other attractions for the Festival. Denton Watermelon Festival
Denton Watermelon Festival and Corn Hole Tournament is the first Saturday in August, hosted by the Denton Artisans Guild. Good old fashioned family fun in a good old fashioned friendly community. Visit the Denton Artisans Guild Website http://www.dentonartisansguild.org/ for more information.

Farmers Market / Holiday Markets
Denton's Farmers Market is the place to come for locally-grown produce, baked goods, and hand-made arts & crafts. The market is held on select dates, and includes the special Holiday Markets. Click the above link for more information, or visit the Facebook page.

Harrison Park 5K Run
The Annual Harrison Park 5K Run will take place April 20, 2019.  This year we are please to announce that you can run with your dogs, leash is required.  Sponsored by Novant Health and Rolling Meadows Kennels.  All proceeds go to the Pink Cares of the Piedmont.  For the 5K Run application click here.

Southeast Old Threshers Reunion
Come out and experience the Southeast Old Threshers' Reunion—the largest display of steam, gas, and antique farm equipment in the Southeast. The five-day event runs from July 2nd  through July 6th and is held at the privately-owned and historical Denton Farm Park. Click the above link for more information.

Tour De Kale
Tour De Kale is an annual  non-profit event designed to raise funds for hardship medical cases in the Denton community. The event includes a 5K run, and 25K - 135K cycling races. The 2019 Tour De Kale takes place Saturday, June 15th. Click the above link or call the Parks and Recreation Board for more information.

Veteran's Day Dinner
The Veteran's Day Dinner is an annual event every November to thank our men and women who have served our country.  Larry Furr Presents, Southern Theatre and Event Center will be the host for lunch on November 11, 2018 from 11:00am - 1:00pm.  All Veterans meals are free and spouse's meal is $11.00.  The Lanning Sisters will be our entertainment this year.  Make plans to join us for this event!  Call Barbara Hogan for reservations or more information.

Davidson County Youth Fishing Derby
May 18, 2019 - Looking for a great parent and child bonding experience?  Then this fishing derby is for you!  Come join us at Lake Thom A Lex Park and have a great family experience!

Summer Day Camp Program
4 weeks in July at Denton Elementary.  Monday - Thursday 7:30am to 1:00pm.  Ages 5 - 10 years, $20 per child for 4 days.
