The Assistant Town Manager / Town Clerk is responsible for performing complex administrative and professional level work to assist the Town Manager and Board of Commissioners in handling a variety of administrative matters in support of the overall management of the Town. Specifically, this position performs responsible management, administration, human resources and financial tasks; serves as the Clerk to the Town Board and assists in effectively managing the annual budget of the Town. Position is a key member of the Town management team, responsible for providing leadership and guidance to administrative staff and department heads in the interpretation, communication and execution of Town policies and procedures.

Our Assistant Town Manager / Town Clerk is Angel Jenkins. Angel's 20+ years of experience in accounting and financial work makes her uniquely qualified for the responsibilities of her position. She is a graduate of East Davidson High School and earned an Associates Degree in Accounting from Stanly Community College.
