What to See and Do
Don't let Denton's small town atmosphere fool you. There is plenty here to see and do. Our Parks and Recreation Board plans events throughout the year. Whether you like to participate or just be a spectator, you will find festivals, parades, and park events entertaining and enjoyable for the whole family.
Of special interest is the annual Denton Street Festival, where you will find locally-made arts and crafts, food, and events for the children. Or, visit our Farmer's Market, where you can purchase locally-grown fruits and vegetables, baked goods, and unique hand-made items.
And, of course, we have to mention one of our community's greatest assets—the family-owned Denton Farm Park. The Denton Farm Park is host to several exciting events throughout the year, including the Southeast Old Threshers' Reunion—the largest display of steam, gas, and antique farm equipment in the Southeast.
But you don't need a calendar to find entertainment in Denton. Join the crowd at Larry Furr Presents Southern Theater & Event Center every Saturday night for music, dancing, and maybe a few surprises.
